U0431 on Fiat — ABS, ESP, airbag and MIL lights on with an erratic instrument cluster

Code U0431 reports invalid data received from the body computer. On the Fiat Ducato 2.3 Multijet the ABS, ESP, airbag and engine warning lights come on together, with the cluster gauges stuck at zero.
